Scary moment Sunday night in Chatham, when a man allegedly held a shotgun to someone’s head.
Police say two people were arguing when things got physical, and the man took out a shotgun and pointed it at the victim and uttered threats.
The man then left the residence, shotgun in hand, before returning a short while later.
Officers found their suspect and made the arrest, and they also recovered the shotgun.
The victim received treatment for minor injuries.
A 31-year-old Chatham man is charged with assault, pointing a firearm, three counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats, occupying a motor vehicle while knowing there was a firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a weapon, handling a firearm in a careless manner, and careless storage of a firearm.
