Due to the Canada Post mail disruption, Employment & Social Services Division will not be mailing Ontario Works cheques and will be distributing them through Employment & Social Services offices.
The December 2018 Ontario Works pick up schedule can be found below for clients who receive their funds by cheque. For clients who have Direct Bank Deposit (DBD), funds will be deposited as usual on Nov. 30, with DBD statements being mailed.
For those who use their DBD statement for confirmation of Ontario Works eligibility for other programs, they may contact the Ontario Works office at 519-351-8573. For future payments, Direct Bank Deposit can be arranged by contacting the office.
Of note, Ontario drug benefits are now accessed using the Ontario Health Card.
Monthly Statement of Income cards can be accessed and printed from the Chatham-Kent municipal website at www.chatham-kent.ca/ess.
