A trio of daring daylight break-ins yesterday in Chatham-Kent saw one man arrested and police looking for the public’s help in solving the others.
On Monday afternoon, police responded to a break-and-enter report on Pine Street in Chatham. Police say the man entered an unlocked garage and assaulted the homeowner when confronted.
He fled prior to police arrival, but was taken into custody a short while later.
A 28-year-old Chatham man is charged with break and enter, and assault.
Sometime between noon and 5 p.m. Monday, someone broke into a residence on Sparks Drive in Chatham.
They stole a 15-inch MacBook Pro, iPad with black case, black Apple Watch, PS4 gaming system, jewelry (watches, wedding ring, gold chain necklace), Apple AirPort Extreme router, blue ‘Ultimate Ears’ Bluetooth speaker, Anova sous vide cooking machine, and a black briefcase containing musical equipment.

As well, sometime between 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., someone got into a residence on Maple Line near Pain Court.
They stole two wooden jewelry boxes, a pearl necklace, a diamond heart-shaped necklace and matching earrings, a gold bracelet, a gold Knights of Columbus ring, a diamond ring shaped like a figure eight, a men’s gold Rolex watch, a women’s gold Bulova watch and a black purse.
