A chain-reaction collision on Highway 401 this afternoon has closed the road.
Chatham-Kent OPP report the crash occurred about 3:15 p.m. near Kenesserie Road when a tractor trailer slammed into the back of another that was stopped on the highway due to construction. The crash caused the second big rig to hit a third, which then hit a motor vehicle.
The first two vehicles caught fire and suffered extensive damage.
One driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
Charges are pending.
The highway will be closed for several hours as crews clean up the debris.
