Busy time for car thieves

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a recent spree of vehicle thefts.

Someone stole a Chevy Equinox and a 2008 grey Dodge Avenger from O’Neill Street residences sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

The Equinox was found abandoned on Pine Street in Chatham Wednesday morning.

The Avenger didn’t have plates on it at the time of the theft.

An enclosed cargo trailer got stolen from a business in Morpeth between Monday and Wednesday. It was last seen with the Ontario plate M1463 on it.

Thieves made off with a silver 2003 Olds Alero from a Creek Line residence in Dover Township sometime overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday as well. It was plated with AYKK189.

Furthermore, a silver 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 went missing from a farm field on Manning Road in Chatham sometime overnight Wednesday and into Thursday. It last had Ontario plates 5685YD on it.
