Pedestrian struck near Blenheim

Chatham-Kent police are piecing together what happened last night that left a Blenheim woman in London hospital suffering serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

Police say about 10 p.m. a 53-year-old Blenheim woman was walking east on Talbot Trail west of Fargo Road outside of Blenheim when she got clipped by an eastbound vehicle.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital in Chatham and was then transferred to London Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was a 68-year-old Morpeth woman.
