A 21-year-old Erieau man suffered serious injuries Friday night after a single-vehicle crash along Erie Shore Drive near Erieau.
Chatham-Kent police say the man was behind the wheel of a pickup truck about 11 p.m. heading east on Erie Shore Drive when he failed to negotiate a bend in the road near Bisnett Line. The truck drove into a deep drainage ditch, causing significant damage.
Two passengers in the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police say they were able to call for help and get out of the truck.
EMS arrived on scene and got the driver out, transporting him to Chatham hospital, before he was transferred to Windsor Regional Hospital.
