Pedestrian struck in Chatham

A Chatham woman is in Windsor hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while walking Tuesday afternoon.

Police say about 1:30 p.m., crews were called to the corner of Ursuline Avenue and Grand Avenue West in Chatham, where a vehicle had hit a pedestrian.

A 46-year-woman was taken to hospital in Chatham and later was transferred to Windsor for additional medical attention.

The driver, a 60-year-old Chatham woman is charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
