Saturday, October 8, at approximately 5 p.m. security personnel at a St. Clair Street business observed a man concealing spray paint and a crowbar in the front of his pants. The man made no attempt to pay and left the store attempting to leave on a bicycle.
Store security intercepted the man and placed him in custody.
Chatham-Kent Police were called and attended for investigation.
As a result, the 41-year-old Chatham man was charged with theft and possession under $5000 and released with a future court date of November 2, 2016.
