Returning to the scene of the crime was a bad move for a Ridgetown man.

On July 2, a man attended Shoppers Drug Mart on St. Clair Street in Chatham and stole $141 worth of shaving products.

Last night, police responded to Shoppers Drug Mart again in regards to another shoplifting complaint involving the same man.  This time, he stole shaving items valued at $101.  Officers were provided his physical descriptors as the man fled on a bike.  An officer on general patrol located the man on William Street and he was arrested.

A 57-year-old Ridgetown man has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.  He was released pending a future court date of July 26.
