Chatham-Kent Police charged a Chatham man with uttering threats after an incident at the YMCA recently.

On June 5, a man went to the YMCA in Chatham to use the facilities.  An employee approached the man as he was failing to abide by the rules inside the facility.  An argument began and the man threatened the employee.  He then left the property before police arrived.  Attempts were made by the police to locate him, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant.  The 31-year-old Chatham man was charged with uttering threats.  He was released pending a future court date of July 5.
