On May 27, police arrested and charged a 12-year-old Chatham boy with assault with a weapon following an incident after school on the bus ride home.
According to a previously published report, the boy and an 11-year-old girl got into a verbal argument on their bus ride home that escalated into the boy throwing three rocks at the girl.
