A woman sustained minor injuries after an altercation with an ex-boyfriend Friday in Wallaceburg.

According to Chatham-Kent police, around 12:30 a.m., a man went to his ex-girlfriend’s home to retrieve some of his personal belongings.  The woman met the man in the parking lot and opened the passenger door of his truck as he stayed in the driver’s seat.  As the woman removed some of her property that he was returning and placed his clothing in the truck, the man revved up the engine and sped off leaving about 8 meters of skid marks from the acceleration.  The woman was still reaching into the truck and was dragged for approximately 15 feet.  The woman let go and the man fled the area.  The woman sustained minor injuries, however did not seek medical attention.

Last night around 9:20 p.m., police located the man in Wallaceburg and he was arrested.  The 20-year-old Dover Township man has been charged with dangerous driving.  He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
