The Optimist Club of Chatham and the municipality’s Recreation Programs are set to host the ninth annual CK youth festival, taking place at Tecumseh Park on June 4 for children of all ages.
Tecumseh Park will come alive with performances by the Detroit Circus aerial acrobatics, an inflatable playground featuring obstacle courses, slides, climbing walls, and mazes.
Enjoy face painting, glitter tattoos, life-sized board games, and other activities on this day of fun.
“The youth festivals are a one-stop shop for summer to keep kids active and engaged. Numbers are still increasing as last year’s festival brought 5,500 people to the park. ” Said Kelly Backus from the Chatham-Kent Recreation team.
Families will also have a chance to learn about what’s out there in Chatham-Kent this summer. Local organizations will have their summer camp programs and activities displayed throughout the park.
Parents will be able to meet with camp staff, ask questions, and take home information to help plan their summer activities.
The day begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. with free admission.
