This morning, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to an alarm at UniFirst Canada Ltd. on Grand Ave. E. in Chatham to find a window had been broken. Officers saw a man fleeing the scene on a bicycle carrying a black plastic tool kit made by Jobmate. The man was apprehended and when searched, had several pairs of black latex gloves and a white towel stolen from the business.
The 52-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter. He remains in police custody this morning pending a bail hearing.
