Chatham-Kent police are continuing to investigate a single vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Merlin man Sunday.
At 6:44 pm, emergency crews responded to the accident on Talbot Trail near Stevenson and Coatsworth Road.
Police report a vehicle heading westbound on Talbot Trail entered the north ditch and rolled several times. The male driver was the only occupant and was thrown from the vehicle. The 52-year-old Merlin man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation by the Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit. Out of respect for the family, the name of the driver will not be released at this time.
