Drunken mischief leads to arrest

This morning around 1:00 a.m. police responded to a residence in Wallaceburg in regards to a mischief complaint.  Police learned that around 11:30 p.m., a man went to the victim’s residence but was asked to leave the residence as he was not welcome.  As the two men, known to each other started arguing, the man threw a whiskey bottle and shattered a glass door.  The man fled the area prior to police arrival.  Damage was estimated at $100.

ust before 4:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent officers located the man and he was taken into custody.  The 26-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with mischief under $5000.  He will be released when sober with conditions pending a future court date of April 8, 2016.
