Sunday afternoon around 12:10 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed a Pontiac Sunfire travelling northbound on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. A query of the license plates revealed that they were not registered to that vehicle.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the man was driving the vehicle with no valid permit or insurance.
The man’s plates were seized and his vehicle was towed. He was charged with using plates not authorized for the vehicle, operating a vehicle with no insurance and failing to apply for a permit upon becoming the owner of the vehicle.
He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on February 24.
Through investigation, the officer further learned that on December 11, 2015 the man was released from custody pending a future court date for the offences of fraud x12, utter forged document x12, fail to attend court and fail to attend for fingerprints.
On January 12, 2016 the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Trenton Bradley, 33 years, of Grand Avenue East in Chatham was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
He was released pending a future court date of February 16.
