Tony De Abreu measures some trim being installed as part of the Portuguese Canadian Club’s $70,000 renovation project now underway. Club president Dominic do Forno said renovations to the main hall and washrooms begin earlier this month and will be completed before the end of February. The club has invested some $250,000 in the Grand Avenue East facility since it’s opening in 1997. The hall’s main ballroom seats more than 300 people and is a popular venue for weddings.
