Police have taken a 29-year-old Sarnia woman into custody following a six-week long investigation into a theft from Best Buy on St. Clair St.
On December 8 police received a report of aMicrosoft Surface Pro 4 and keyboard being missing after a two women and a man left the store. Total value of the theft was $1439.
Through investigation, police learned that the man had concealed the tablet in his clothing while a woman concealed the keyboard in her purse. Store surveillance images were posted on social media and the trio were identified as being residents of Sarnia. A warrant was issued for the man and woman.
The woman was arrested charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released pending a future court date of February 10, 2016.
Police continue to look for a 27-year-old Sarnia man believed to have accompanied her.
