Shortly after 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Charing Cross Road between Eighth Line and Ninth Line.  No one was injured.  Total damage was estimated at $11,500.  An 86-year-old man was charged with careless driving.

Around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Grand Avenue East near Prince Albert Road in Chatham.  Luckily, the driver was not injured.  Total damage was estimated at $4000.  The 36-year-old Chatham man was charged with careless driving.

At 3:40 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Queens Line between Merlin Road and Drake Road.  Luckily, the driver was not injured.  Total damage was estimated at $30,000.  The 20-year-old woman was charged with careless driving.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Queens Line between McDougall Line and Merlin Road.  Luckily, the driver was not injured.  Total damage was estimated at $8000.  The 27-year-old man was charged with careless driving.

The Chatham-Kent police would like to remind all motorists that road and weather conditions are not an excuse.  Drivers must maintain control of their vehicle at all times.  When road conditions are deteriorating, drivers are urged to slow down.
