A Jan. 19 court date has been set to hear charges against a 29-year-old Tilbury woman accused of stealing drugs from a seniors living residence at which she worked.
Police say on November, 2015 a part-time RPN at Tilbury Manor unlocked a narcotics drawer and removed several ampules of morphine and hydromorphone.
The woman cut the tops off of 12 ampules and removed the narcotics, police say, and refilled the ampules with an unknown liquid and used glue to reattach the tops. The woman placed the tampered ampules back in the narcotics drawer.
No residents were harmed as a result of the incident.
She is charged with theft under $5000 and mischief. Her next court date is Jan 19, 2016.
