Branch 642 Legion in Chatham will be the place to be  Dec. 27 as local musicians get together to raise funds for Chatham-Kent Outreach for Hunger.

The 11th annual Holiday Jam for Hunger takes place at branch 642 William Street North, beginning at 8.30 pm. Admission is by donation.

Organizer and local musician Alysson Storey said the participants are not only talented by dedicated to their community. This year’s lineup includes CBC Music Searchlight singer-songwriter and Chatham native Rob Mitchell, The Davidson Band, all hailing from Tilbury East Township and headliner, the supergroup SUPERFLY, who notably opened for the Chatham Rotary Beach Boys concert this past summer.

While different local community organizations have benefited from each concert, several years ago the CK Outreach for Hunger was adopted as the annual recipient, as the need continues to be grow every year. States Storey, “All of the musicians were born and raised in Chatham-Kent, and many of the musicians playing in the Holiday Jam have returned to C-K to raise our families and build our lives here. We know how fortunate we are to live in this community and we all feel strongly about giving back to our hometown, especially an organization like Outreach for Hunger which is filling such an important need.”
