Last night around 6:45 p.m. the man was involved in a collision while in the parking lot of Kentucky Fried Chicken on Mill Street in Tilbury.
Through investigation, police believed the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
A 54-year-old Tilbury man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
He was released pending a future court date of December 29.
