A pair of structure fires kept Chatham Kent volunteer and full time firefighters busy yesterday.
Shortly before 3:30, volunteers at station 18 in Blenheim responded to a four plex residential unit on Talbot Trail between Fargo Road and Lagoon Road.
After extinguishing the blaze, it was determined the cause was clothing accidentally left on a heater.
Damage is estimated at $20,000.
Just before 11:30, stations one and two in Chatham were called to a tri plex residential unit at 365 Grand Ave. East.
Damage to the building was estimated at $30,000 and the cause remains under investigation. Firefighters remained on the scene for an hour and a half.
There were no injuries in either incident.
