On October 6, just past midnight, an Officer with the Chatham-Kent Police Service stopped a vehicle on Queen St. in Chatham for Highway Traffic Act related offences. During the traffic stop, the 34 year old Raleigh Township male was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant and at the time, breaching a curfew restriction on a current release order as well as being in the company of a person he was prohibited from associating with. As a result, the male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and further charged with 2 counts of Breaching his Recognizance under the Criminal Code and 1 count of Driving while under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act. The male was lodged in a cell and held while awaiting a bail hearing.

On October 5, 2015, at approximately 10:00 am, a 24 year old Chatham man was arrested on Harvey St. on outstanding warrants. During the arrest, the arresting Officer, on searching the male, found the male to be in possession of methamphetamine. As a result, the male was charged with an additional charge of possessing a controlled substance and since he was on a probation order prohibiting him from possessing such substances, was charged with a further count of breaching his probation. The male was later transported to court for a bail hearing.
