Rondeau Provincial Park held its annual Monarch Festival with lots of people coming out to catch, tag and count the monarchs on the weekend.
Monarchs are tagged and sent on their way.
It can take three generations to complete the round trip migration from Canada to Mexico.
Once the butterflies reach Mexico, they are gathered and tracked through the sticker recovery program.
