On Saturday, September 5, 2015 at approximately 6:08 am, emergency services were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision on King & Whittle Road in Romney Township. Upon arrival, a 19-year-old male, who was the only occupant, was located inside his vehicle with life-threatening injuries. Through investigation it was revealed that the male was northbound on King & Whittle road when he left the roadway, entered a ditch and struck a culvert. The male was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he was stabilized then transported to London Health Sciences Centre for further treatment. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Management Unit is currently investigating and those with information are asked to contact Cst.
