A Chatham man has a day in court after someone exposed himself on St. Clair Street last night.
Police say around 7 p.m. Monday, a man went to a St. Clair Street business and was seen with his pants down, acting inappropriately. Children were in the store at the time, and staff called police to provide a physical description as the man left the store.
An officer spotted a man matching the description on McNaughton Avenue. Police say as the officer started to make the arrest, the man resisted and tired to pull away. After a struggle, he wound up in the back seat of the cruiser, headed for headquarters.
A 30-year-old Chatham man is charged with committing an indecent act and resisting arrest.
