Cops seize $140K-plus in pot

A day after seizing $20,000 in cash in a drug raid in Wallaceburg, police confiscated nearly $150,000 in marijuana in Chatham.
Members of the intelligence unit executed two warrants Thursday. Cops found 100 pot plants in various stages of growth, plus some dried marijuana and hash oil. Total estimated street value of the seizure is $115,000.
Three people face charges in connection with the bust. A 26-year-old man and 22-year-old woman are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of production of a controlled substance. A 16-year-old male is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Police also seized 32 pot plants, some dried psilocybin and plants at another Chatham location. Total estimated street value from this seizure is $32,500.
A man, 28, and a woman, 24, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of production of a controlled substance.
