Police have one suspect in custody and are searching for another in connection with daytime break-ins on Thames Street in Chatham Monday.
Sometime between noon and 1:30 p.m., a man and woman entered a Thames Street building. The man went into one apartment through an unlocked window and stole a TV, tools and jewelry, police say.
Meanwhile, the woman went into another apartment, making off with a wooden stained wagon.
The two left the area together, police say.
Officers investigated and believe they identified the culprits. They tracked the man down on Victoria Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Monday night.
They’re still looking for the woman.
A 27-year-old Chatham man is charged with break and enter, theft, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
