A Blenheim woman lost her life as the result of an accident in the South Kent community Thursday.
Police say shortly after 1:30 p.m. a car collided with a mobility scooter at the intersection of Chatham Street North and Hannibal Street.
Jennie Verbeek, 41, the woman on the scooter, was taken to hospital in Chatham with life-threatening injuries. She was later airlifted to London, and later succumbed to her injuries.
The 33-year-old North Buxton man driving the car wasn’t hurt.
