Police scooped up a couple of folks yesterday wanted on outstanding warrants.
In one case, a man pumped $30 worth of fuel into his vehicle last June at the Mac’s Milk in Tilbury, and left without paying for the gas, police say. A 26-year-old Windsor man was charged with theft.
A month later, police say the man went to the store to make restitution, but as the clerk was writing out a receipt, the man stole a $20 lottery ticket.
Another theft charge.
He never showed up to be fingerprinted or for his court date, police say, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police took him into custody Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile a 31-year-old Chatham man went back into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Police say in January 2014, the man was under probation conditions to not communicate with a specific Chatham man. And in November, he was released with a condition that he had to live at a specific Wellington Street address.
This month and last, police say the man failed to comply with his probation order, and also did not report a change of address.
Yesterday afternoon, police found the man and made an arrest.
