Police dealt with a couple of domestic squabbles recently.

On Thursday, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Patteson Avenue in Chatham. Police say they were told an ex-boyfriend went to the address to collect his stuff, but was denied entry.

He forced open the door, causing minor damage, and left before police arrived. Officers found him a short while later.

A 47-year-old Chatham man is charged with break and enter with intent.

Early Friday morning, police responded to a family dispute on Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg. Officers arrived to find a man outside of the apartment building who reeked of booze. Police say he was obviously drunk and unable to take care of himself.

He spent the night in the drunk tank.
