On Sunday night, Chatham-Kent police tracked down a man wanted in connection with a road rage incident in early February.

Police say on Feb. 6, about 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Base Line Road in Wallaceburg. Investigation revealed two vehicles were travelling on the road in the same direction – driven by two men who know each other – when one man passed the other. He then slowed down, causing the other driver to pass him. This driver sped up, turned around and blocked both lanes, preventing the other driver from going past.

Police say the second driver tried to go by, but the man who had turned around put his car into reverse and collided with the other vehicle. Police say the man then got out of his car and began pounding on the windows of the other vehicle. The driver of that car, fearing for his safety and that of his family – who was in the car – fled the scene and called police.

Last night, police found their suspect and made an arrest.

Corby Knight, 26, of Wallaceburg, is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in connection with the incident.
