The Kent Region Skating Council is hosting a large synchronized skating competition this month.
The Lloyd Ogilvie Memorial Synchronized Skating Competition will take place at the Thames Campus Arena Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 at the door.
Sixty-five teams from across the province will take part, as about 900 skaters of all ages and levels will participate.
Organizers say a highlight of the day will be performances by Nexxice Junior, a Burlington-based team recently back from Spring Cup 2015 competition in Milan, Italy. Nexxice skates about 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
