The Chatham Y Pool Sharks were on the hunt this weekend and didn’t disappoint, bringing home lots of hardware from the 2015 Western Ontario Swim Association (WOSA) regional championships in Windsor.
Part of the short-course season, Shark team members who made regional qualifying times competed against fellow swimmers from 31 clubs across western Ontario.
Gigi Sasseville delivered five golds and a bronze.
Maddy Broad had four golds and a silver.
Madeline Tran had two golds and a bronze, while brother David had a silver.
Connor McFadden and Connor Cartier each had a bronze.
Shark members who made provincial qualifying times – Sasseville, McFadden, David Tran and Madeline Tran – will be heading to Etobicoke in two weeks for the provincial festival competition.
Broad is headed to the Eastern qualifiers next and then on with Carolyn Tran to the Ontario Age Group Championship meet.
