Police arrested a local man yesterday for possessing pellet guns.
A man was released from custody in March of 2012 with conditions not to possess any firearms or ammunition. A few months later, that prohibition was extended for life.
But police say they received information recently he wasn’t complying, and raided his south side Chatham residence yesterday.
They discovered three pellet guns, which are defined as firearms under the Criminal Code of Canada, and a number of shotgun shells.
A 42-year-old Chatham man is charged with four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition and four counts of failing to comply.
