Two weeks after a serious accident, police have charged a man.
According to Chatham-Kent police, the single-vehicle accident took place Nov. 17 on Lindsay Road south of Claymore Line. The pickup truck left the road, took out a hydro pole, flipped over and came to rest in a nearby field. Police say the driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
He was taken to hospital in Chatham with serious injuries and was later transferred to a Windsor hospital.
After being released from hospital, he was charged with driving without a licence, failing to wear a seatbelt, and careless driving.
