Cops looking for weekend thieves

Chatham-Kent police are on the lookout for a suspect after someone was seen trying to break into a trailer at Tony’s One Stop Music Shop on Centre Street in Chatham around 5:30 a.m. this morning.

Police describe the man as about 40 years of age, tall, with short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, and fled the scene on a bicycle.

Meanwhile, on Saturday sometime between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., someone entered an unlocked garage on King Street in Ridgetown. The thief stole a Harmony acoustic guitar, Mastercraft air compressor and a black Nikon Coolpix L20 camera.

Total estimated value of the stolen goods is $800.
