Pianos, food, Christmas and fun will be on the agenda for the first ever Christmas Fun-Raiser being held Nov. 21 and 22 at the Portuguese Canadian Club.
The event will feature Ted Oliver’s Dueling Pianos from the U.S. and is being billed as a chance to have a night of fun while helping out community causes.
Event Chair Brad Campbell said proceeds from the event will be divided between the Chatham-Kent Children’s Safety Village and the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
“We’ve got both ends of life covered,” he joked. “Keeping children safe and making sure we have a facility such as the hospice are both important to our sense of community.”
Campbell said the event is ideal for an office or other workplace looking for a Christmas party with a twist. “We’ve got great food, a holiday atmosphere, music and a chance to do a good deed.”
Only a handful of tickets remain for the Nov. 21 Friday performance.
“A lot of people have seen Dueling Pianos in places such as Las Vegas, but the concept hasn’t really been featured locally,” he said.
In addition to the entertainment, a live or silent auction may take place.
