A fit of rage resulted in the arrest of a Ridgetown man early this morning.

Police say on Oct. 24, a man went to a residence in Chatham and pushed his way through the door. Once inside, the man assaulted the victim.

The man then left the home, and went to a friend’s house, police say, where he became unruly and assaulted a woman there, police say. The man left before police arrived.

During the course of the ensuing police investigation with the first victim, officers learned there was a previous assault, and mischief.

Early this morning, police tracked down their suspect.

A 43-year-old Ridgetown man is charged with break and enter, two counts of assault and two counts of mischief.
