A Leamington man is behind bars after police pulled over a car doing nearly double the speed limit.
Chatham-Kent police say an officer clocked the car doing 113 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Talbot Trail near Erieau Road.
When the cop pulled the speeder over, he discovered the man was under a driving suspension, and was wanted for two outstanding warrants.
A 33-year-old Leamington man is now charged with stunt driving and two counts of driving while under suspension in connection with the traffic stop. Police say the man was taken to the South West Detention Centre in Windsor.
The car, it turns out, is owned by a friend, police say, and is sitting in the vehicle impound for seven days.
