It’s one thing to make an improper turn. It’s another to hit a vehicle while doing it.
And then there is hitting a police cruiser.
That’s what police say happened about 6:30 p.m. last night. When a woman was heading west in the centre lane of Park Avenue when she apparently suddenly had a craving for Tim Hortons.
According to police, she turned right – from the left-hand lane, and crashed into a police cruiser that was also headed west in the next lane over.
Damage is estimated at about $3,500.
A 20-year-old Belle River woman is charged with making a turn not in safety.
