An 18-year-old Chatham man faces attempted robbery charges after someone tried to rob a convenience store in Chatham last night.
Police say a man walked into the Mac’s Convenience at 170 McNaughton Ave. W. at about 9:25 p.m. and demanded money.
The man didn’t brandish a weapon, so the clerk picked up the phone to call the authorities, prompting the man to flee, police say.
Police scooped up their suspect shortly thereafter.
