Thieves made off with an estimated $1,400 in stolen goods, including a kayak and fishing gear, after breaking into a garage on Grand Avenue East in Chatham recently.
Police say sometime between 4 p.m. July 29 and 4 p.m. the next day, someone entered an unlocked garage and made off with the beige Gulf 120 XE kayak and other items.
