Chatham-Kent Fire Department officials say an afternoon fire at the Bloomfield Business Park was likely the result of a static discharge from an industrial process.
The fire broke out shortly before 1 p.m., and was confined to the processing pit area, according to assistant fire chief Bob Davidson.
He added the fire was contained by repeatedly applying a foam blanket to cover the burning items.
The Ministry of Labour has been notified.
There is no loss of property as a result of this fire.
