Fire ravaged two barns on O’Neill Line near Ridgetown Monday.
Chatham-Kent Fire officials say they received a call about 5:30 p.m., and crews from Ridgetown and Orford stations responded to discover flames and smoke pouring out of the two barns.
The cause of the fire could not be determined, and the loss from the damage is estimated at $500,000. A large number of livestock were saved, however.
Firefighters were on scene for more than six hours fighting the blaze.
