Chatham-Kent police tracked down a man they’d been seeking in connection with a May 23 domestic assault that left a woman in intensive care due to her injuries.
Police say about 11:30 p.m. on May 23, a verbal argument between two common-law partners escalated, and the man assaulted the woman, who managed to flee the home with her young child.
She was taken to hospital for medical attention and had to be admitted to intensive care to be treated for her serious injuries.
Police arrested a 33-year-old Chatham man Tuesday in connection with the incident. He faces an aggravated assault charge.
