Police scooped up a man about 3 a.m. this morning after a woman on King Street in Chatham suffered a rude awakening.
Chatham-Kent police say a man came by the 37-year-old woman’s apartment and started kicking her door in an attempt to gain entry. The man damaged the doorframe and threatened the woman.
When he couldn’t get in, police say he threw stones at her window, cracking a pane of glass in the process.
About 90 minutes later, police picked arrested the 45-year-old man the victim alleged committed the crimes, and charged him with uttering threats, and mischief.
